April is Child Abuse Prevention Month

Every 10 seconds a report of child abuse is made in the United States. With many cases unreported, it is estimated that 1 in 5 children experience child abuse.

NYCC is raising awareness about child abuse through our #liftmeup campaign with prevention and awareness activities throughout the month.

30 Days of Facts

Each day, NYCC is sharing a fact about child abuse and neglect on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter to share important statistics and information across social media.

On April 22 and 26th, NYCC will be handing out blue balloons in various NYC locations, with attached tags explaining our #liftmeup campaign.

Balloons will generate curiosity and conversation on the streets, allowing us to share our mission and have a greater reach throughout the community.
